Moments ago, Sean Hannity, of Hannity's America on Fox News, announced that he is going to broadcast LIVE from the ATLANTA TEA PARTY!!!! Fox will also have news crews in other cities around the country at their Tea Parties. This is huge and exciting news for the Atlanta event and also for the Tea Party movement in general.

Sean earns $40 Million a year between TV & radio and he is crying about paying 4.6% more in taxes,anyone under $250,000 doesn't get an increase. Top 5% of the population controls 85% of the nations wealth, leaving 95% of us to participate in only 15% of the nations wealth. I guess all of the top 5% of the people post here.
Sean is mainly complaining about government intrusion into our lives, and the "Redistribution of Wealth" mentality that goes against what our founding fathers created.
The free market system is what made this country great and the Socialist and Marxist programs that are being instituted by this administration are what is taking this country down.
The great part about America is that even though you may start life in the lower income bracket, there is the opportunity to succeed and advance your status. Socialism and Marxism are all about keeping the masses equally miserable, except for the privileged few. So unless you are one of the elite privileged few, you may want to re think your loyalty because the current administration wants to keep you miserable and poor because that is what they think will keep you voting for them while they toss you the crumbs.
I am not in the bracket that makes more than $250,000 a year, but I will be paying more to the government in social security payments, increased medicare payments and and other programs that they can get money from me without calling them taxes. (Cap and trade etc)
The majority of people making $250,000 or more are small business owners who employ others, so if they are to be taxed more, that tax increase WILL be passed on to their employees in the form of decreased benefits, lower pay and additional lay offs.
I make a lot less than 250,000, but I pay too much in taxes. If you add up state, federal, sales, property, and other taxes I pay over 40% of my wages in taxes. That is wrong. This is not a democrat republican thing. This is people who work hard not having their money seized from them by the government. America should be a place to prosper if you work hard.
It's been very obvious that Obama has never run or been involved in the bottom line of a business. Because if he was he'd know what he is doing will not create jobs but eliminate them. Direct from a buiness owner we have put off hiring two people until we see how his new tax structure will effect us. We can't just hire just to hire. We have to be aware of all the costs involved, we have to look at everything not just make a haphazared decision like they did with the first stimulus.

Check your history. Read the FairTax book, or go to audible.com and buy the audio versions. It is a good read or audio. Typically, Democrats always had higher taxes. Remember, the Democrats were the one's who managed to amend the Constiution to allow the income tax. Bush, is only one man, there are 545 people in Congress we can all collectively blame. The Government plays us all against one another, so they can keep on taking advantage of us. With your kind of thinking, we will always have this problem. You are right! We all pay 40% of our income. Medicare, Social Security are "payroll" taxes. Then there is the 21% to 25% embedded tax when you buy a product. If you are of lower income, and all of your money is spent
to live, well you are paying approx 40%.

I am a small business owner who pays almost 50% of my earnings to taxes. 20% Federal, 15% Social Security/Medicare, 5% GA income tax, 7% sales tax and several thousand in property taxes. Add taxes embedded into my purchases and the percent becomes outrageous. The embedded taxes are the most insidious because they are pretty much invisible. Stand up for the FairTax so everyone can see the real cost of government!

My husband and I are one of those "rich" people making over $250,000 a year. After we pay $97,500. in taxes a year because we are indepenently employed we are left with $152,000.00 a year only to pay taxes on our house, car, gas .... ALOT OF PEOPLE JUST DON'T GET IT! I don't want to work 60 - 80 hours a week so the government can take my money and give it to people who don't want to get out there and work hard for more money. Taking money from "RICH" people will in turn make them work less, so there will be less to share for all these people who want someone else to support them. And who is in charge to say making over $250,000.00 is rich? I can't go out and buy a big BMW or Mercedes or a $1,000,000.00 home. I am saving my money for retirement so the government doesn't have to support me. Before the Civil War the U.S. Govt had only two sources of rev. tariffs and land sales. Then the war, which generate 1,200 new (and supposedly temp) taxes. The Fed budget went from 30 million to +960 mil., and has never looked back. Let go back to the first hundred years, and make us TRULY Free, both Socially and Economically !!!

I am originally from New Hampshire though have now lived in Georgia for almost thirty years but, what I saw tonight throughout the evening is inspiring and I truly hope that it will become continueous and bigger and bigger as time goes by in order to give the message that the first "Tea Party" in Boston was not just "taxation without representation" as some would like for you to believe; it was for a principle that was later penned in the Declaration of Independence. Perhaps some will recognize these famous words of a founding father and great American; "for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness..." and if many of these politicians could once again read their oath and be held to task the first three words of that historical document states very clearly WHO they Work for! "WE THE PEOPLE..." Is this not what has set America apart from all other countries in the world throughout all of history? "...a government OF the People, BY the People, AND FOR the People..." a quote from another great American that points to the very heart of what it means to live and be AN AMERICAN? When there is a world crisis, who is there almost immediately to help? America! If there is hunger in Ethopia, who's there with food, blankets, medical supplies, etc, America! The tsunami hit who was there with food, clothing, blankets, water, medical supplies, makeshift shelters, and so on! America! Who sends out care packages, all over the world, who builds schools, bridges, hospitals, highways,etc, and is willing to even be willing,(and has on many occasions)sent the youth of the nation and yes even they are willing to spill their blood for the cause of Liberty to those who never had it? Our children deserve to grow up, work hard, make a good life for themselves and not be burdened by debt that accrued long before they were born or old enough to even work. We are paying a debt that did not benefit us at all...it benefits the companies that got bailed out, the banks and mortgage companies that made bad decisions, the government who decides who gets it and how it is spent...we pay for what they choose to spend it on. The protests are for more than just being taxed, it is deeper than that and our pockets are not deep enough to pay for what has been spent, will be spent, or what has or will be borrowed in the near future. This is not Republican, Democrat, or anything in-between, this is American, this is a "We The People" expect our government to be responsible with the taxes we pay and to balance their budget...we do so in our own lives and households, we expect nothing less.
If someone makes 5 times as much as me, I'm not jealous...my assumption is that they studied or worked harder, or God gave them their gifts so they could make jobs for others. No impoverished person ever offered me a job. The more wealthy people there are, the better off the rest are. The way the government comes to people's homes with guns to steal the fruits of their labors reminds me of the mafia, not Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty. Taxation is a corrumpt,dirty, degenerate practice that needs to be minimized to help us regain a sense of decency as a nation. God Bless the Original America.
